Automic SaaS Migration by Tricise

Secure, structured and supported migration into the future

Broadcom’s strategic move to offer Automic Automation as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution marks a transformative step for enterprise-grade workload automation. This evolution is more than just a change in deployment model—it’s a rethinking of how organisations operate, scale, and modernise their automation platforms.

For customers currently running Automic on-premises, this shift represents a major opportunity to reduce infrastructure management efforts and embrace a fully managed, cloud-native automation solution. However, as with any strategic technology change, the path to SaaS comes with its own set of challenges.

This is where Tricise steps in. As Broadcom’s most experienced Automic partners in Europe, Tricise provides structured, technically sound, and field-tested support for enterprises making the move to Automic SaaS. From assessment to execution, from onboarding to operational support—our transition methodology ensures that migrations are efficient, secure, and designed around the individual needs of each organisation.

What to expect in an Automic SaaS Migration

  • What Automic SaaS delivers—and how it differs from on-prem
  • How Tricise ensures secure, phased and controlled migration paths
  • Which tools (like 3C Release Manager) enable structured, auditable object transport
  • How agents, users, integrations and configurations are handled
  • What long-term benefits a SaaS model unlocks

Automic SaaS: Modern infrastructure, familiar power

The Automic SaaS offering delivers the same orchestration functionality as on-prem. The difference lies in its modern cloud-native infrastructure. It runs in Broadcom-managed EU data centres using Kubernetes (AAKE) and PostgreSQL and offers two dedicated environments per customer.

Automatic updates, scalable cloud architecture and full encryption support are key advantages. However, new structures—such as tenant separation and restricted access to backend components—require adjustments in connectivity, operations and change management.

The Tricise SaaS Migration Approach

1. Assessment & Planning

We start with a system analysis to identify agents, objects, integrations, tenant structure and configuration scope. This ensures precise planning.

2. Environment Setup & Agent Deployment

In coordination with Broadcom, we configure the SaaS tenant and establish agent connectivity (VPN or Web Gateway), user access and application rights.

3. Object Transport & Validation

Using the 3C Release Manager, we migrate Automic objects in a structured, versioned and traceable way. This includes diffing, rollback, and Git integration.

4. Cutover & Hypercare

We coordinate the final cutover, sync last changes, monitor live operation and support the go-live phase to ensure full stability.

Key Benefits of the SaaS Model

  • No local infrastructure or patching required
  • Automatic updates and shorter innovation cycles
  • More security through Broadcom-managed layers
  • Cost savings in infrastructure and operations
  • Better scalability and availability
