A big thank you to everyone who joined the latest Dollar Universe User Group 2026 Online, held on June 4, 2026, and co-hosted by Tricise and Broadcom. The session brought together more than 80 members of the French Dollar Universe community to discuss the future of IT orchestration, product modernization, and emerging Artificial Intelligence initiatives. As always, the event provided a valuable opportunity for users to share feedback, influence the roadmap, and hear directly from Broadcom’s product team about upcoming developments.

User Priorities Continue to Shape the Dollar Universe Roadmap
One of the highlights of the Dollar Universe User Group meetup was the presentation of the latest community backlog, built from collaborative voting involving 24 customer organizations. The results clearly showed where users would like to see future investments and enhancements.
Among the most requested capabilities were:
- Advanced session synchronization to better manage timing dependencies and complex scheduling scenarios.
- A modern REST API layer, providing a web-based integration experience similar to NViewer.
- A fully web-based HTTP interface designed to replace the legacy Java WebStart technology.
These priorities reflect a broader trend across enterprise IT environments, where organizations are looking for greater flexibility, easier integrations, and a more modern user experience.
Technical Modernization Remains a Strategic Priority
Broadcom shared several important updates regarding the future technical evolution of Dollar Universe.
One of the most significant announcements concerned the upcoming Dollar Universe 7.2 release, which will require a migration from Java 8 to Java 21. This change aligns the platform with modern security and support standards while also impacting support for certain legacy operating systems, including Solaris and HP environments.
Additional platform modernization updates included:
- The end of support for Dollar Universe V7 on OpenVMS and OS400 due to critical vulnerabilities that can no longer be remediated.
- The automatic migration of the UVMS database from Derby to H2, designed to be transparent for customers.
- Future consideration of PostgreSQL support, offering additional flexibility for enterprise deployments.
These developments reinforce Broadcom‘s ongoing commitment to modernizing the platform while ensuring long-term reliability and maintainability.
Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Workload Automation
Artificial Intelligence was another major theme throughout the Dollar Universe User Group 2026 Online session. Attendees were given a first look at an alpha prototype of a new HTTP-based web console, developed with the assistance of AI-powered tools. The prototype already allows users to manage jobs remotely and access execution logs through a modern browser-based interface.
Beyond the user interface, the discussion explored how AI could support workload automation teams in the future through capabilities such as:
- Script generation assistance
- Workload and capacity forecasting
- Operational recommendations
- Predictive analysis
