Tricise | Blog | Automic Survey 2026: Your Honest View on V26 & AI

The Tricise Automic Survey 2026 is open – and we want to hear from the people who keep Automic running every day. In around seven minutes, you can tell us where your Automic Automation landscape stands today: which version you run, whether V26 is on your roadmap, how you want to operate the platform and which AI topics are on your agenda.

Your answers make a real difference. They help us shape our consulting, our V26 roadmap sessions and future Automic Roundtables around what Automic teams actually need.

Why we are running the Automic Survey 2026

We work with Automic teams across Europe every day – in consulting projects, in managed operations, in Tricise University courses and at our Automic Roundtables. Each of these conversations teaches us something, but individual conversations rarely show the full picture.

That is why we launched the Automic Survey 2026. A structured survey helps us see patterns across industries, team sizes and environments: where upgrades stall, which operating models are gaining ground and where AI is moving from idea to practice.

What we learn feeds directly into what we do. If many of you tell us that know-how is the main obstacle to an upgrade, we will put more weight on enablement. If data sovereignty is the deciding factor in your hosting decisions, we need to know that, too. The more honest the answers, the more useful our next steps will be for you.

Why 2026 matters: Automic V26, AI and new operating models

2026 is a big year for Automic. Broadcom made Automic Automation V26 generally available in April 2026, and the release puts AI at the centre of the platform:

  • AI Job: a new job type that wraps AI reasoning into a governable object, so AI agents can run alongside deterministic workflows with full audit trails.
  • MCP client and server: a standardised, two-way connection between Automic and external large language models via the Model Context Protocol.
  • AI Assistant: natural-language access to Automic information that helps teams resolve incidents faster.
  • AI-augmented workflow creation: working workflows generated from plain-language descriptions.

Broadcom also backs Automic V26 with a five-year support lifecycle, which makes it a natural anchor for upgrade planning.

Still, every environment is different. Some teams already run Automic V26, while others are on V24, V21, V12.x or several versions in parallel. At the same time, operating models are moving up the agenda: in-house, with a service provider or as SaaS in an EU cloud? The Automic Survey 2026 is designed to capture exactly this mix – including the reasons behind your decisions.

What the Automic Survey 2026 covers

The survey consists of seven short sections. Most questions are multiple choice, and a few open text fields leave room for your own thoughts.

  1. Usage & environment: your role, what you use Automic for (from job scheduling and SAP automation to cloud, CI/CD and managed file transfer), the number of agents and daily executions, and how satisfied you are with stability and operations.
  2. Version & V26 upgrade: which version you run today, whether an upgrade to Automic V26 is planned and what is holding you back – for example effort, risk, resources, know-how, interface compatibility or budget.
  3. Operating model: whether SaaS or a managed service is on your radar and what matters most in a hosting model, from EU data centres and data sovereignty to SLAs, predictable costs and compliance.
  4. Service Tiers: how familiar you are with our Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers, which one fits you best and what is still missing.
  5. AI & innovation: which AI topics are on your agenda, such as anomaly detection, self-healing, runtime and SLA prediction, ChatOps and MCP integration or AI-assisted job creation.
  6. Biggest challenges: one open question about where Automic causes you the most difficulty right now. This is where we listen most closely.
  7. Contact & next steps: completely optional. Only fill this in if you would like us to get back to you.

Service Tiers: Silver, Gold and Platinum

One section of the Automic Survey 2026 is dedicated to our Service Tiers for Automic. If they are new to you, here is the short version:

  • Silver: licence, consulting and baseline assurance – included by default.
  • Gold: everything in Silver, plus managed operations of your Automic platform by Tricise.
  • Platinum: everything in Gold, plus full Automic SaaS in the EU cloud.

Hearing about the tiers for the first time? That is a valid answer, too – the survey asks exactly that. We want to find out whether the model makes sense from your perspective and which additions would make it more useful, from monitoring and reporting to compliance packages, training or migration support.

Who should take part?

The Automic Survey 2026 is aimed at everyone who works with Automic, regardless of the size of the environment or who runs it. We especially want to hear from:

  • Automic administrators and operations teams
  • Application managers
  • IT leaders and architects
  • Project and programme managers
  • Procurement and licensing specialists

Different roles see Automic from different angles. If a colleague would answer differently, feel free to forward the survey link.

Anonymous by default, contact optional

The Automic Survey 2026 is anonymous by default. You only share your name, company and email address if you want us to get back to you – for example, to receive a summary of the results or to arrange a consultation. In that case, you confirm your consent at the end of the survey.

If you leave the contact fields empty, your answers are evaluated without any direct contact information. You can find all details in our privacy policy.

What’s in it for you?

  • Services that match your reality: your answers help decide which topics we prioritise in consulting, enablement and roadmap sessions.
  • Better Automic Roundtables: the challenges you share help set the agenda for future roundtables.
  • Optional extras: in the final section, you can request a summary of the survey results, a 30-minute consultation, information on our V26 roadmap webinar or updates on Tricise Automic events.

How to take part in the Automic Survey 2026

  1. Open the survey in English or German.
  2. Work through the seven sections – it takes around seven minutes.
  3. Decide whether to leave your contact details and what you would like to receive.
  4. Submit your answers. That’s it – thank you!

Tip: have three figures at hand before you start – your current Automic version, the approximate number of agents and your daily executions. Not sure? Each of these questions also offers a “Don’t know” option.
